2017~ Looking Forward, and a Look Back at 2016

Well, time stands still for no one.  We are marching onward and forward. I am now into the rythem of January.  So far we have had below 0 degree weather. Snowstorms, and ice storms.  Tonight the wind is howling and a new storm is on it's way.  By tomorrow morning there will be new snow, and new temperatures.  All part of the January beauty.

I have pondered  my thoughts on 2017 and what I how to be, and become.  I don't set goals or resolutions.  I just believe in moving forward with faith and hope.  So here are just a few of my thoughts as the hours and the days and months go by.  I just want to be a better person.  I want to show kindness and respect to others and to myself.  I hope to have a happy heart most of the time.  Now I am only human, so there will be plenty of times I will not be happy.  If only we lived in a perfect world, but we don't.  So sadness and unhappiness is part of the human experience.  I just want to have "most" of my time, spent with happiness, gratitude and finding joy in the little ordinary things of life.  Sounds good to me!

I have also pondered the past 12 months and I decided I did do some good. . .hahah! I hope I made a difference. . .a good difference.
On the blog for the last year it seems I have not been very productive.  I certainly don't get the posts out like I should.  I keep hoping I will get better at it, nonetheless, I am trying. . .so here is hoping you hear from me more often.
I certainly don't do the Creating like I once did.  I have a part time job, and that really cuts into my time for crafting, sewing, crocheting and all the other things I like to do.  Maybe a little bit of age! Ah no, that can't be.!  There just isn't enough time in the day for me to cover all of my bases.  I do my bet.

Here are a few of the things I did do. . .and I hope you had a chance to read about it here on the blog.

Blue for the January Aunt Carol Hutch.
She is beautiful no matter what color she is.

A little cross stitching. . I am so glad I got this done last year.
It is part of my decorations for this January.

And February is always a fun month of decorate.  I did another
cross stitch for Valentine's.  It seems I did several cross stitching projects for
2016.  So glad I did!
Here we go for March.  Loving my little shelf decked out in green.

Take a look at that gorgeous Sunrise over the Oquirrah Mountains.
Bringing daylight to the Tooele Valley.
Such beauty!

Springtime in our little valley. . .Wow! It just doesn't get much prettier.
I love it.
I am blessed to live where there are beautiful mountains.

Well, I hope you are looking forward to 2017 with great expectations.
Each day brings it own rewards and happiness.

Please come back again, as I continue the journey of creating and enjoy
the life I have been blessed with.

January I Love You

I truly do love January. For many reasons. It is cold, snowy, and some may say dreary, but I say January is a BEAUTIFUL month. Now tell me what other month begins with a huge celebration? With so much Hope for the future? With reflection of the past?
Ah! My beautiful JANUARY.  Did you know I think of the months in color, and January is Blue, which happens to be my favorite color.

Now, I have been thinking of the things in my life I want to enhance or bring into my everyday life. What will make me a better person? What will bring more happiness and enjoyment? What can I do to lessen the stress I feel? What can I do to make my little spot of earth a better place? What can I do to build my relationships with family and friends? Most important to me is how do I build my relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ?

I will share with you what I think will help me in not only the future months of 2017, but they will help me to build my life, and bring more joy.

Stay tuned, I will be back . . .with my plan.

Have a wonderful weekend... and stay warm... it is -2 degrees where I live. But no worries I am snuggled in my cozy little home. Teddy and Cash are snuggled in with me. Oh how  content and secure I feel.
